Mike Carnock, an avid and competitive swimmer, went for a morning swim in Lake Tellico, Tennessee around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday May 15, 2018. A Howard County, MD resident, Mike was in Tennessee visiting his parents. Mike was supposed to take his mother to an appointment at 1:00 that day and sadly he never returned from his swim. He was last seen in the lake at 10:45 Tuesday morning.
Search and Rescue Teams have used every means available by air, land and water to find Mike. With no success after several days, the Rescue Mission was changed to a Recovery operation. To date, Mike's body has not been recovered. Public resources have been exhausted. Friends of the family are creating this gofundme page to raise funds to hire a private contractor who specializes in recovery to find Mike and bring him home to his beloved wife and best friend,Pam, and his devoted children Michael and Janie, Solomon, Samson and Sydney. Any remaining funds will be used to support the family as additional needs arise during this difficult time.
