We are deeply saddened to announce the death of our dear father Michael "Mike" Norman Bates. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on March 13, 2015 and passed away, less than 2 months later, on May 2, 2015 from complications with the cancer. His death was very sudden and unexpected and his children desperately need help with his funeral expenses and medical bills.
Mike was born on February 13, 1950 in Joplin, Missouri and grew up in Denver, CO. He moved to Los Angeles in 1970, where he ran Bates Engineering. He was also a Deacon and a Minister at Inglewood Church of Christ and a pilot. He is survived by 3 children from his marriage to Linda Bates and 8 grandchildren.
Chris Bates, Elisa Bates, Heather Colen, Chelsea Bates, Kayden Shahmiri, Elijah White, Riley Williams, Quentin Colen, Zyon Williams, Peyton Colen, Emma Moreno.
His last wishes were to be laid to rest with his mother, father, sister and nephew in Colorado.
