The coronavirus has shut down much of our economy. Through no fault of their own, so many good people in our city will struggle to afford the basics including food for themselves and, most importantly, their children.
Many good people who, until recently, worked hard and contributed in so many ways to making Edmonton one of the best cities in the world, will now go to bed each night unsure if they'll have food for their children tomorrow.
$25,000 is not a lot, but it will help thousands of people who need help, many of whom will have never asked for or needed help in the past.
I have donated $1,000 as a start.
Please donate whatever you can, even if it's only $10 or $20.
Please ask your friends and family to donate if they are able, and ask them to ask their friends and families to donate.
Thanks, and stay healthy.
Mike Johnson.
