On their way home from school yesterday, Mike and Xander were behind a vehicle who purposefully slammed on his breaks leaving Mike to swerve to avoid a collision.  The other driver pulled a mask over his face and shot multiple times into their car hitting Mike once and 10 year old Xander twice before running off.   
Mike, although being shot in the abdomen, was able to drive to a near by emergency center.   Xander was shot in the abdomen and leg.  Thankfully, they both will be fine, but Xander will undergo surgery today to remove a remaining bullet.  

This beautiful family has always gone above and beyond to volunteer and give of themselves to all they meet and especially at each of their childrens' schools.
