STILL STUGGLING! It's been nearly 3 long, difficult, frustrating years since his traumatic injury on Jan. 5, 2015, and Mike still has not received financial assistance from Medicaid so he's been forced to pay his living expenses including caretakers from out-of-pocket.
Formerly a self-employed tree/landscaping company owner, Mike has always been willing to work hard and helped many folks in our community before his accident.
He sold his business equipment to be able to buy a home which is easily accessible for his wheelchair. Through previous financial assistance from our community and friends, Mike has been able to exist. However, those funds are depleted and Mike is enduring extreme financial hardship. Now he is being forced to sell personal items. As a proud Marine vet, he's embarrassed to ask for financial help, but so very grateful & appreciative to all of those people and businesses who have contributed to his well-being whether financially, through help with vehicle maintenance, home repairs, friendship, prayers and care of his much loved dog, Laika. As a quadriplegic, those every day, routine things most of us take for granted are huge challenges or obstacles for Mike. Please help Mike, a Marine vet, rebuild hope for a better life and attain his maximum potential!
