Stay Strong For Mike
Donation protected
At QTS we are known for all of the giving that we do in the local community and around the world. Now it is time for us to bring it back home and help one of our own.
For those who have had the opportunity to work with Mike Walker, Sr. Product Manager at QTS, over the past few years you know the joy he brings to every interaction that you have with him. From stories about his family and pets to sharing his culinary delights, Mike is a great co-worker and friend. Mike has a big heart, consistently lives the QTS Core Values, and is the first to step up for QTS volunteering and charitable events.
Mike’s life changed drastically a few months ago when he was diagnosed with Oropharyngeal Cancer (throat cancer). He’s currently undergoing a series of chemotherapy and radiation treatment programs. Unfortunately, the chemo and radiation programs create residual effects associated with nausea, vomiting, and a general loss of appetite resulting in Mike losing over 70 pounds. As a result, Mike may have a feeding tube inserted to reduce the difficulty associated with swallowing.
Mike and Kris are proud parents of five children ages 4 to 15, and live in Smyrna, GA. The family could use our thoughts and prayers as he fights the biggest battle of his life. We kindly ask any QTS family able to do so to please help Mike during this difficult time with a financial contribution to offset the cost that comes with a significant illness. Mike is the rock of his immediate and extended family, and this support will go a long way towards assisting his family while he undergoes treatment and recovery.
