With the permission of the Swenson Family, friends of Mike Swenson have set up an Educational Fund in the loving memory of him for both his daughters Danielle and Christina.
On Sunday March 29th, our dear friend Mike Swenson lost his battle with Covid-19 and passed away in Torrance Memorial Hospital in California. He fought bravely and tirelessly in ICU for one week with the help of a ventilator. It broke our hearts to find out that his family had to say goodbye to him via FaceTime and the nurses had to hold his hands on behalf of his family when he passed away. His sudden departure from us has been shocking and devastating to both his family and friends alike and we felt compelled to help.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Yvette and daughters Danielle and Christina. Danielle is aspiring to transfer to USC this year and major in Astronomy, hoping to one day work for the exoplanet research program in NASA. Although Christina is only a sophomore in high school, her dream is to one day become a Medical Doctor to help others.
Mike was the nicest and kindest guy you can know. He was always lending a helping hand to everyone, including my parents, with his computer expertise. He was also an loving husband and father to his girls, whom he adored the most in the world. He was always beaming with pride and joy whenever he spoke of his daughter’s achievements, especially Christina’s basket ball games. His infectious smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew him.
We know he is smiling upon his family from Heaven above. May he rest in peace and may God bless his family.
