It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mike Swanka at Costco's 1333 Mooresville location. Everyone that knew Mike would say that he was selfless, generous and a terrific baker. Not a week went by that he didn't have cookies, cheesecake or some other delicious treat to share with us.
Mike started in the Syracuse Costco in 2014 as a seasonal employee and was fortunate enough to get hired on permanently. Mike worked the Front End, Bakery and Membership. His true passion was business development. He drove sales in his locations through his relationships with local and national resellers.
When the Mooresville location was announced he expressed how much he wanted to relocate to be closer to his granddaughters. His granddaughters were conjoined twins that were successfully separated in June of 2017. He was able to spend the past 10 months here in North Carolina with them and his family.
We would like to create this page to help his wife Bridget with any unexpected expenses and to help with his final memorial costs. Thank you.
