Recently, our family received news that changed everything in an instant. My dad, Mike Selby, who is currently living in the Philippines, suffered a series of strokes—two smaller ones followed by a major stroke. The impact has been significant, leaving him with minimal to no movement on the right side of his body. While he is a fighter, the road ahead will be long and physically demanding. He is currently facing an extended hospital stay, which will be followed by intensive rehabilitation to help him regain his mobility and independence.
Navigating medical care across borders comes with immense logistical and financial challenges. The costs of hospital care, specialized treatments, and necessary long-term rehab are mounting quickly. I am starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden on our family so we can focus on what truly matters: getting my dad the care he needs to recover.
We are asking for your support to help cover hospitalization and acute care costs, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation therapies, medical equipment, and long-term recovery needs. Even if you aren’t able to donate, sharing this page with your network would mean the world to us. Your prayers, positive thoughts, and kindness during this difficult time are appreciated more than words can say. Thank you for standing with us and helping my dad on his journey back to health. With gratitude, Ashley and Family
