Hello, my name is Lei, and I’ve created this GoFundMe on behalf of our dear friend Michael Young and his father, Mike Sears.

On August 12th, 2025, Mike suffered a severe stroke that led to an extremely risky surgery. Sadly, the procedure was unsuccessful, and Mike has since been placed on life support. As of Sunday, September 7th, his doctors have shared that there is no chance of recovery, and he will be taken off life support tomorrow morning.

As you can imagine, this has been an unimaginably difficult time for Michael. He has missed work to be by his father’s side and is now faced with the heavy responsibility of planning his father’s funeral and managing his estate. Michael is a devoted single father who works tirelessly to provide for his family, but these sudden and overwhelming expenses are more than he can handle alone.

We are asking for your support to help ease this burden. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward giving Mike a proper cremation and memorial service. Mike would never want this weight to fall on his son’s shoulders, but we know Michael is doing everything he can to honor his father with love and dignity.
