Welcome to Michael and Raquel's medical funding. For someof you reading this you may already know us and our situation. or you may not even know us at all and have been blessed to cross our page.
Raquel and I have had many struggles through out our years that wew had thought may have past us when we finally met one another. We found pure joy and happiness together. We found a love so strong that we decided to get married in September of 2014. During our wonderful turn of events for both of us we found new begginings, new memories, and new difficulties we would be facing. In December 2014 I started to do some testing for a odd lump found in my neck. A lump that myself did not find to be of any issue, but my wife and my loving daughter had believed it was a big concern. I did test after test to sit back and wait results. During the time we waited for results we had some new news come to us. Raquel found that she was pregnant. We was blessed to have one last chance to expand our already growing family. Myself with a beautiful teenage daugther and Raquel with a preteen daughter and a rapidly growing 7 year old boy. Now we can have another child together to complete our love we have for each other. to build and bond our family together. This news of the raquel being preganant was celebrated and lived fast because we now had the results from my tests. I was diagnoised with Hodgkins Lymphona. This is a cancer of the lymphnoids, your bodies highway. We where all devestated. After much medical advice and overwhelming positive feedback we decided to have me fight this cancer. We decided to have me undergo chemotheraphy. This chemotheraphy has put us to many tests and through out you can only see the love and strentgh between myself and Raquel.
Even though we had been told by the doctors and many friends and family that this chemotheraphy treatment would be a long hard fight, we said bring it on. We was ready to fight together. Nothing could make us week. We have a strong family that is growing with Raquel being pregnant there is nothing that can bring us to our knees. Then we run into a problem. Raquel turns up sick. We rush her to the hospitol and after several days in the hospitol we lost the pregnancy. The last chance to create between raquel and myself. What we thought was a miricle has now been taken from us. right after this it was time for a second round of chemotheraphy. A treatment that would really test the strengths. After being kncoked down with this bad news while our minds are not in complete health this treatment would test us. It has tested us and we are still winning. I have went days with out eating, hours with no sleep, mins of worries on what is coming next. The stress has grown. The pain from losing, the pain from winning, the stress from not knowing what will come next.
Well now is the time we check the mailbox to find piles and piles of mail. Medical expenses, Medicaid denial letters, How do you continue to fight when you have to decide to buy food or pay for your next doctors co-pay. How do you continue to fight when you decide to pay for your utilities or pay for your next treatment. We had a goal, We would build our credit and get a new home. We now can see this goal being crumbled beneath us. We would be burried in medical expenses that would destroy any chance of us ever being able to build any more.
I myself have insurance that helps. I am at about $35,000.00 already and this is with insurance coverage. Raquel does not have insurance. Medicaid denied her for help. all of her medical bills will start flooding in soon. We need help.
If you can find it in the graces of your heart to help us. We know everyone has problems, Everyone has hard times. We also know everyone has a heart and can find the way to help. May it be pass this on to someone who would be able to help. send this to your friends families and more.
