Hello all, my name is Lexi and I am fundraising for myself, my partner Michael "Mike" Rapacon and our journey. Mike has been diagnosed with Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). This has been the scariest, most eye-opening experience and I want to thank you and express our deepest gratitude for thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Cancer is such a powerful, heavy word but we know what it is and have a treatment plan in motion. We will take things one day at a time and trust in the wonderful team of doctors, nurses & staff here at UCSF. 

I am asking you all to please keep us in your prayers and send positive, healing thoughts. We need to stay strong for Mike. He has been not only a rock to me, but many others without expectation or hesitation. It is not anyone's ideal situation but this is our new reality and we find comfort in the fact that we know what is going on, have a plan in motion, and are supported by family and friends in every way. We are in the best place to be, with the best team of doctors, nurses & staff here at UCSF. He is in good hands.

Mike is the best partner anyone could ask for. He is such a kind, patient, caring, and funny man. He's also not so bad to look at :) Seeing him go through this truly breaks my heart and I know you all share this feeling with me.. "This too shall pass." We are fortunate to have the biggest village so I'm reaching out to ask for your help. Your donations will help us with future medical bills, our rent, food, gas, etc. while we are both not working during this time.
