Want to join Kingswood FC in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit Cardiac Risk in the Young, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Mike or Raj as he was known, suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away on 26 January 2013 while playing football for us.
On the 31st January we are hosting a memorial game to honour that tragic day, this will be a game where the Kingswood Legends will play against the current Kingswood squad.
We’re aiming to raise £7,000 to bring a Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) heart screening event to Kingswood FC. This initiative is all about protecting our community — giving young players, supporters, and local residents the chance to get their hearts checked for hidden conditions. Every pound raised will go directly towards the equipment and expert staff needed to carry out these life-saving tests. Together, we can make a real difference and help keep our young people safe, healthy, and playing the sport they love.
More information about Cardiac Risk in the Young: Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was established in 1995 to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths (YSCD, SADS) through awareness, screening and research; and to support affected families. CRY funds fast-track services at the CRY Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions and Sports Cardiology and the CRY Centre for Cardiac Pathology.
