Mike Pollard

Our VFW family has suffered a terrible loss. Michael Pollard’s family needs all the help we can give them. Anything will help. Please keep this family in your prayers. Thank you.

As many of you know Cindy/Cynthia Pollard-Carpenter and Mike/Michael Pollard had a house fire Friday Sept 22 at 3am. Cindy was able to get out of the bedroom window and Mike woke up disoriented and went to the kitchen to either look for the dogs or his phone to call 911, not sure which but he sustained minor burns to his face and arms. He got lost in the smoke and was found unconscious in the bathroom. It took firefighters about 20 mins to find him. Mike was without oxygen for at least 30 mins. They performed CPR on him when they finally got him out of the house. They rushed him to Bedford hospital and then to Nashville. Mike had no brain activity after having several scans and was put on life support. The lack of oxygen was just too much. Per Mike's wishes the family had to make the terrible decision of taking him off life support. Mike passed away Sunday September 24, 2023 at 3:15p.m.

Please keep this family in your prayers. Mike didn't have health or life insurance and the family is asking for your kind donations to cover these expenses for medical bills, the funeral and to help Cindy get back on her feet after losing her home and her husband.
