Mike Payne tribute, hello.

Donation protected
Michael Glenn Payne, a loving and funny soul, was born on March 16, 1963, in Atlanta, GA, and passed away on January 22, 2025. Known for his jovial personality and infectious laughter, Michael spent most of his life in Jackson, Tennessee, where he was well-respected and admired by his friends, neighbors, and co-workers at Pierce Construction. Michael was a simple man who found joy in life's little pleasures, such as watching Nascar races and greeting everyone he met with his favorite word - "Hello."
Michael was a hardworking man who dedicated many years of his life to the construction industry before his retirement. He was a pillar of strength, not just at his workplace but also within his family. What mattered most to him was his family, especially his granddaughter, Mikah. As an anonymous author once said, "The love of a family is life's greatest blessing," and Michael truly embodied this sentiment. His love for his family was palpable, and he often expressed his fondness through his humor and love-filled actions.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his daughters, Heather Payne and Savannah Payne; his granddaughter, Mikah Payne; and his sister, LaLonie Payne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Rose Payne, and his brothers, Gene Payne and Randy Payne. Michael's life was full of rich experiences and relationships, and he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate and remember Michael's life.
We invite you to leave your memories and upload photos of Michael on his memorial page. As you share your moments with him, remember the warmth of his love, the sound of his laughter, and the simplicity of his spirit. As Michael often said, "Hello," we now say, "Goodbye," knowing that his love and legacy will live on in our hearts.
