Mike Owen needs his Hootyhoo Crew
Donation protected
A few weeks ago my uncle had a 3rd heart attack, while he was out in the swamp doing his part to eradicate invasive species. He got overheated and could not get cooled down and what everyone initially thought was a heat stroke ended up being a severe heart attack. The very next day he had open heart surgery and what was supposed to be a triple bypass ended up being a quadruple bypass. He is a survivor, but he has a long road of recovery ahead of him.
My uncle Mike has selflessly devoted his life to the conservation and stewardship of the Everglades. He is renowned in the scientific community for his research and enthusiasm. Despite him being “science famous” he never made the riches other stars tend to make. (Although, if you were to ask him he feels like the richest man in the world every time he gets to share his love of the Fakahatchee strand on a swamp walk.)
He is newly retired and has 7 months before he will qualify for Medicare, so after 2 weeks in Naples ICU and now in rehab facility for many more weeks, his out of pocket costs are piling up. He needs his hootyhoo crew’s help. Please rally around him to show your love and support by making a donation, so he can concentrate on “Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive” instead of worrying about medical bills piling up.
Thank you for being a part of the Hootyhoo Crew!
