Mike Oman

For those of you who do not know, Mike had a medical emergency. Unbeknownst to him, Mike was suffering from diabetes. He discovered a sore on the bottom of his foot that would not heal. He went to an urgent care and they immediately sent him to the ER. That is when he discovered he had diabetes and high blood pressure. In the early part of December, they had to remove a toe. The area where the toe was removed was not healing and had developed an infection. Around Christmas time, Mike had to make the decision. He elected to amputate his leg just below the knee. This came as quite a shock. He was still playing golf in early November. Mike was unprepared for this type of medical catastrophe. Life as he has known it, is completely different now. He is in the early stages of learning to get around with this disability.

There have been some new challenges and expenses that were not expected.

For those of you who know Mike, you know that he is one of the first who is always willing to help others and to be a wonderful support person.

It was very hard for Mike to allow a go fund me account but with the encouragement from his friends, he is deeply moved that you would want to support him.
