Hi there, I'm Kristina Mike O'Keefe's daughter in law. I've created this GoFund Me page to help reduce the financial burden the O'Keefe's are just beginning to face. Mike is suffering from a major traumatic fall that has left him in the hospital in a medically induced comma.

Mike had been in Colorado for the past 5 months helping to take care of his 99 year old mother and spending time with his 6 grandchildren. On Friday, October 9th, Mike returned home to Belize to be back with his wife Bette, who stayed in Belize due to travel restrictions from COVID. He was so excited to be reunited with his wife and back in the warm weather as its beginning to get colder in Colorado. That evening, he fell and was rushed to the hospital where he suffered a traumatic brain injury and major skull fracture.

He currently is on life support, but they plan to wake him up in the next few days. Since they are out of the country insurance isn’t covering any of the costs up front. Because of this we've created this fund to help with his medical bills, as they are already beginning to pile up. Our hope is to help reduce some of this financial burden for Mike and Bette as their lives changed in a matter of minutes.

Mike is a fighter, and we believe he will come out of this. He will have a long road to recovery and we would appreciate all the prayers.
