Mike Obergottsbergers Brain Cancer Fund

As some of you have heard, Mike and his family got some devastating news on September 7 th.

After having some excruciating headaches, Mike had an MRI on Wednesday Septemper 6 th. He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday the 7 th when he was given the news that he has an aggressive cancerous brain tumor called a glioblastoma. This type of brain cancer has no cure and he was given 12 months…. if he chose to fight this cancer. This has been shocking and very difficult as you can imagine for Mike and his family. After consulting with his Drs, Mike decided to fight the tumor to get as much time with his family as he can.

He underwent brain surgery on Friday , September 8 th to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Currently Mike is still in the hospital trying to recover from surgery. He has had good days and some bad days but is now on the path to getting home so he can rest and recover with his beloved dogs and family.

Mike will start radiation and chemo in October which will be every day for 6 weeks.

This has turned Mike and Lisa’s lives upside down but they are surrounded by family and friends and know they have all of our support to help them process and deal with the coming months.

Lisa has been by Mikes side every step of the way which means she has not been able to work since the diagnosis. The money raised will help with lost wages from not working , paying bills , getting help in the home , some updates to the house to help mike get around safely , and many other expenses I’m sure we haven’t even thought about yet.

Mike, Lisa , Kyler , Conner , and Kaitlin  want to thank everyone for the prayers, the endless love and support, and all the visits and messages. They feel the love and they are grateful.
