Mike needs knees!

Hi everyone, my name is Olga Zimmerman and I am a friend of the wonderful Lally family. If you are reading this, you probably know them and the valuable part of our community that they are. Here is Elizabeth describing Michael's journey to the need for a double knee replacement in the coming months. They have been there for many of us. I hope you will consider being there for them now in this time of need.

"Michael and I live in Warren, Maine with our four sons: Declan (17), Carrick (16), Torin (13), and Cian (11). We moved to Maine in 2007 when Declan was just two and Carrick was six months old. We have settled into this community enjoying all that MidCoast Maine has to offer. Michael has worked for area construction companies as a carpenter and has worked for Pine Ridge Carpentry for the last 8 years. I have worked part-time for the last seven years at the First Congregational Church, in Camden, helping to lead children’s programming for Christian Education

Over the years I have watched Mike work tremendously hard to provide for his family. He has had to deal with a lot of aches and pains that come with his line of work but has also dealt with arthritis and injuries along the way. At almost 60 years of age, the pain in his knees has reached a point where he needs to have a double knee replacement. His first surgery is scheduled for March 9th and the second will follow two weeks later. He will be out of work for 10-12 weeks. While we have insurance to help us cover the cost of his surgeries, we do not have the money to cover the cost of him being out of work. And so we are asking for help.
