Mike & Nancy Vance

Hello world, My name is Angela & I've never done this before. But,

I am writing to inform you of the recent loss experienced by my close friend, Bobbi Jo Vance, and her brother, Derek. Their mother, Nancy, was diagnosed with cancer in her spine, which progressed to her bone marrow. While in the hospital, Nancy suffered massive strokes. Tragically, during this difficult time, their father, Mike Vance, passed away unexpectedly due to a massive heart attack.

I personally understand the pain of losing both parents, having experienced it myself. However, I cannot imagine the agony and confusion of losing both parents within the same month. Nancy and Mike were pillars of the community, taking care of many children in East St. Paul when we were younger. They ensured our safety, warmth, and sense of worth, even for those who were not their own children.

Despite their financial struggles, Nancy and Mike prioritized the well-being of others. If I had the means, I would ensure that they receive a proper cremation and service to honor their memory. However, I am unable to do so on my own.

Therefore, I have created this GoFundMe page in the hope that there are compassionate individuals who understand the gravity of this situation. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us provide Nancy and Mike with a dignified farewell.
