Mike Miller Memorial for Lake Ahquabi

In memory of Mike, we're raising money for the restoration of Lake Ahquabi State Park. If we can raise $12,000, we can sponsor a dock for launching kayaks near the marina in his name.

Why Lake Ahquabi? When we lived in Indianola and us kids were little, we didn't have air conditioning. On hot summer nights, we would head out to the beach at Lake Ahquabi to cool off and horse around in the lake. We occasionally camped at the campground there with several family and friends. Andy and Jessica were later married at the lodge there.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has planned for a renovation of Ahquabi State Park in 2021, so this is a perfect time to make a lasting impact in Mike's memory. This dock will be available for the park visitors to use for many years to come.
