Hi, my name is Mary and I'm fundraising for a dear friend of over years, Mike McDonough, that has unexpectedly suffered a loss of income due to a motorcycle accident. Mike is one of the most selfless people I know, that has given help to countless number of people. On October 2nd, Mike was entering a downhill driveway. He braked to allow passage of a vehicle, and in doing so hit gravel and went down. While attempting to lift the bike, in a freak accident, Mike's foot went sideways and broke his leg in 3 places. He won't be able to put weight on it for 8 weeks, let alone walk. Mike is in the flooring industry and as such won't be able to work for at least the next 3 months, and may never be able to work in his industry again- which requires re-training to do something different, which will make the return to work even more distant in the future. Medical bills are adding up and the loss of income will affect the ability to pay monthly bills and provide food and shelter for his family. Mike is very concerned about the next coming months. He is married, and has two children graduating high school this year. It's been rough for this family, having lost a third child to a senseless boat fire 11/2/2019. No donation is too small! It would be wonderful to lift some of the struggle from this wonderful family.
