It’s been 3 short years since a massive heart attack and the resulting triple bypass surgery completely changed the course of Mike’s life as he knew it. Now, just 2 days ago, at the still-young age of 45, Mike suffered a stroke at home.
Even outside of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, nothing could’ve prepared him financially for this.
He is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment for expressive aphasia, which greatly affects his ability to produce language, whether spoken or written.
He is set to be released tomorrow, though he will still be in need of 24/7 supervised care and will be unable to return to work for the indeterminable future while he is provided ongoing treatment.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward Mike’s mortgage, his medical bills, and any other monthly expenses that he will be unable to work toward paying in the difficult months to come.
As Mike’s step-son, I could go on forever about his unwavering generosity and positive, humble nature. However, it is with his blessing that I ask for your help today on his behalf; either through a donation or by just simply sharing wherever, whenever, and with whomever you can.
