Mike Korczykowski Memorial Fund

It is with great sadness that we ask you to support our fundraiser on behalf of Mike's daughter Kailey. The devastating and unexpected passing of Mike has been a tragedy to all who knew and loved him, but it has also been a struggle for Kailey financially. Please contribute to help Kailey with the numerous expenses incurred due to Mike's passing. If you knew Mike at all, you knew how positive, friendly, outgoing, and helpful he was. If you were a stranger to Mike, you certainly did not remain one for long. That is the kind of person Mike was. Mike was the guy that would do all he could for you if you asked him for help. Mike was also the type of man that took pride in the fact that he never had to ask anyone for help, even when there were times that he probably should have. So for all the times Mike has needed our help and never asked, help him now. Help us help his daughter Kailey through this difficult time. If you ever raised a glass with Mike, if he ever made you laugh, if he ever told you a great story, or if he ever did, in fact, help you, please help him now. Help ease the burden on his daughter Kailey. Any contributions would be a BLESSING and be greatly appreciated. Much gratitude to you.

Michael A. Korczykowski February 10, 1971 - April 17, 2024

It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Michael Allen Korczykowski of Demotte, IN. He passed away at age 53 on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents; Lois and Robert Latkowski, Joseph and Esther Korczykowski. He is survived by his loving daughter & granddaughter; Kailey Korczykowski, Zoey Maluchnik, and Jeremy Maluchnik (Kailey’s fiancé), parents; Dave & Lois Korczykowski; sister & brother-in-law, Jennifer Wilmington & Patrick Wilmington, nephews; Cameron and Tyler Manning; and countless cousins, aunts, and uncles.

One word to describe Mike, magnetic! People gravitated towards him, he accepted and loved everyone. He was charismatic, loving, and hilarious! If you were around Mike, you were guaranteed to laugh. He always had a great story, song and/or dance (literally), to share with you.

Mike was a Marine. He was loyal and committed to all, especially his fellow Marine brothers. Special thanks to all the Marine Corp. friends for their love, support, and direction during this difficult time. Your dedication to each other and our family will never be forgotten. Mike, we will miss you immensely and cherish you through our memories.

A Celebration of Mike’s Life and Service will be held in May, 2024 (date TBD) at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elwood IL. The family is waiting for the VA to confirm the burial date.

In lieu of flowers or a tree donations we are asking to please send all memorial contributions to Mike’s Daughter Kailey Korczykowski and his Granddaughter Zoey.
