Mike K - protest charges, medical bills, tuition

Mike K is a 20 year old student facing re-opened charges from this summer's protests and in need of help paying past-due medical bills and tuition.
Mike is one of the protesters whose case is being re-opened by the DAs office (boo) for appearing downtown and in East Liberty last summer. Last time he was held in ACJ we has given the wrong insulin. Being brought back to ACJ, especially during a pandemic, would be a tragedy. Funds will help secure he is as prepared as possible to win this battle.
Mike lost his job due to the pandemic and was only able to secure a new one this past month. All of his current earning are going toward late medical bills from going into diabetic ketoacidosis before Christmas. In addition, he needs funds for insulin.
Mike is a student at CCAC, but cannot re-enroll until he can afford tuition again.
Everyone deserves mutual aid! But let me tell you a bit about how Mike and how he is great. He grew up in a church and did JROTC, Boy Scouts, and volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club. When he was a lifeguard, he stopped a kidnapping and received an award from mayor Peduto. (yes, the same mayor who is backing the cops who attacked protesters). Mike is a student and was a football player until getting into an accident while experiencing a diabetic emergency.
Mike is young and has so much ahead of him! Let's lighten the load while he is navigating these charges.
