Mike Huston, Keep the Music Playing
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
We’re calling on the many generous friends and musical patrons of the infamously talented Michael Huston. Mike suffered an accident last week, causing an injury to one of his musically gifted hands. An infection soon followed, requiring surgery to remove wood splinters and bone fragments from one of Michael’s fingers.
Mike has been in the hospital for a few days and tells me the nurses and doctors have been very kind and helpful. And I’m surprised to hear how great the food is. (Is that your meds talking, Mike?)
So far, we don’t know what his medical bills will be, but the surgeon says Mike’s wounded hand will take a few weeks to heal. A wounded hand means no playing guitar, which for a performing musician like Mike also means about a month of unemployment.
I’ve known Mike since the mid-1970s when we attended Fawn Elementary as kids. He’s one of my oldest and most loyal friends. He’s not the kind to complain, but those closest to him know he is facing a very challenging situation.
Please consider making a donation to help our good friend make it through this rough time.
