Mike Hemminger's Medical Fundraiser

Mike Hemminger is a well known individual in the Ketchikan community. He is a devoted husband to his wife Becky and a loving father to their son Eli. Mike is a kind, generous soul who is always willing to help anyone in need and now he is the one in need. Mike has been emergency airlifted down to Harborview Medical Center. Doctors have found a large tumor in his chest and multiple others throughout his body. Upon further investigation, several fractures were found on his spine and hip. At the moment the family is waiting for biopsy results for the tumors and to decide the best treatment plan. Mike had to have surgery shortly after arriving in Seattle to place a stint in his heart because the large tumor in his chest is compressing his main artery and suppressing blood flow through his body. Becky and other family members will be staying in Seattle with Mike but are unable to stay at the hospital with him and will be staying in a hotel. As you can imagine there is a huge financial burden involved in this kind of emergency. I know Ketchikan is a wonderful community and hope we can all come together to help and support Mike and his family in their time of need.
