This was a very difficult decision for me to start this page. But I'm out of options at the moment and I'm scared to death. Mike was laid off in July, and he filed for unemployment. Thank goodness I had money set aside to help us stay afloat. Mike found a job and was due to start October 5. September 28 I had to take him to the ER thinking he had had a stroke. No stroke. Turns out he has MS. He has facial, arm, and leg numbness, as well as double vision. He cannot drive and must use a walker to get around. Obviously he cannot work in this condition.
The ship is about to sink, we have not received a dime of unemployment yet. We cannot get any answers, no return phone calls or emails. I know they are extremely backed up because of Covid. I don't know where else to turn. I am working at Kroger and was able to get him on my health insurance, but I don't make enough to pay our bills and rent. Mike was the breadwinner.
