Mike Groulx' s Traumatic Brain Injury

On February 22nd, 2023 Mike had an accident on a job site and fell from heights while working, directly hitting his head. This resulted in him suffering from a skull fracture and a brain hemorrhage. Mike underwent emergency brain surgery to help stop the hemorrhaging and remove a part of his fractured skull.

Mike remained in a coma for 7 days with the slightest amount of brain activity at the Victoria Hospital in London ON. Mike did everything he could to try to stay with us but the injuries were just too severe and he tragically passed away. Family and friends take some solace in the fact that Mike donated his organs, giving him the opportunity to save up to 8 lives.

Mike is newlywed to his wife Charlotte who is absolutely devastated. Charlotte dropped everything to remain by his side until the very last second. Mike was an exceptional father of their 22 month old son, Damon, who has now lost his daddy.

Mike was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He truly was a shining light to his friends and family. Anyone who knew Mike would instantly recognize his beaming smile and laugh. We were all hoping for a miracle and are so incredibly sad he has left us.

Mike was a small business owner and Charlotte is an amazing stay at home mother for Damon; we have created this go fund me in an effort to raise money to help support the Groulx family throughout this life altering experience.

This will not be an easy road ahead for Charlotte and Damon.

Any donations will go directly to Charlotte to help with funeral costs and to support her and Damon until she can find childcare and employment.
