Mike Goularte’s Bone Marrow Transplant

Mike is a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend who in 
September of 2016 was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis a rare and deadly form of blood cancer.
After trying the only FDA approved drug and participating in a clinical trial that were both unsuccessful we are now preparing for our only remaining hope a bone marrow transplant.
We are scheduled to arrive at SCCA (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) January 22, 2019 for what will be a 6 months stay. Mike is required to have a fulltime caregiver and to live within a 30 minute radius of SCCA. In order to accomplish this I will be taking an unpaid leave of absence from my job and we will be living at the Pete Gross House which is designed for extended stay transplant patients.
As hard as it is for us we are asking for financial help. Our day to day living expenses, medical insurance premiums and out of pocket medical cost will far exceed our resources.
