Our dear friend Michael A.(Mike) Gardner suffered a hemorrhagic stroke last Sunday morning, 5-17-2020, in his sleep and is currently in Sunrise Hospital, The rest of the story is in his daughter, Hayley's, words.
Our dad could use all of the prayers, good vibes or whatever good intentions you've got right now. He is in the ICU and they are going to be taking him for surgery as soon as they are able to.
Update: He is out of his first surgery and it was a success! He has hopefully 1 more surgery and a critical 2 weeks ahead of him. Thank you all for your love, support, prayers and well wishes. Please keep them coming!!!
Update: Both surgeries went as well as they could have. The AMAZING doctors and nurses were able to coil the anurysm and get the stint in place to do its job. The next two weeks are critical. Please continue to keep our daddy in your prayers.
We as a family want to thank everyone for all of the prayers and love that you are giving is during this time. I think it's a wonderful testament to the type of people our parents are. I will continue to add updates to this post as they come.
Dad has to go in for another surgery today. This one is to remove part of his skull to allow his brain the room it needs to swell. Please continue to pray for him.
Daddys surgery went well. He is in a coma. We are definitely not out of the woods yet. We are continuing to stay optimistic. Thank you every one for your continued support during this time. I know that my dad, mom, brothers and I along with the rest of our family feel so loved and grateful as we all continue to pray for a positive outcome for our dad.
Here are some things that Tony wanted included.
His birthday 7.22.1953. He is 66 years old. He married Vicki on 9.8.1972. They have 6 children, 24 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
They have been residents of Boulder City since 1977, 43 years. He has been a business owner since 1982 and for you older residents you might remember Mike's Mobile Mender. ❤
