Our dear friend Amanda (Foster) Clements and her family are facing the heartbreaking loss of her father, Michael Edward “Mike” Foster, who passed away on March 3, 2026, in Batesville, Arkansas.

Mike was a lifelong member of the Batesville community and someone who touched many lives through his kindness, humor, and incredible musical talent. A faithful member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Mike was known throughout the area as an exceptionally gifted pianist and organist. Many considered him one of the finest piano players in this part of Arkansas. Whether playing at church or simply at home, music was a part of who Mike was, and he shared that gift generously with everyone around him.

Above all else, Mike loved his family deeply. He cherished his time with his beloved wife, Lisa, working in their garden, caring for their animals, and enjoying quiet evenings watching classic Westerns together. He was a proud father and grandfather who adored his children and grandchildren, especially his precious granddaughter, Finley. His loving heart, strong faith, and unmistakable sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him.

As Amanda and her family navigate this sudden loss, they are also facing unexpected funeral expenses. We are coming together as a community to help ease that burden and allow the family to focus on honoring Mike’s life and supporting one another during this difficult time.
