Mike Ellis Recovery Fund

Mike Ellis, grandfather, father, husband and carpenter out of Local 129 in Washington, suffered a stroke and was airlifted to Harborview on January 28, 2022. As a father of five children and primary earner for his family, Mike and his family need our support immediately.
Mike was airlifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and has undergone numerous tests and procedures to diagnose and treat a stroke and brain bleed. As of February 4th, Mike has incurred charges for six days worth of medical care and treatments in the ICU and more to come. We can all imagine the bills that are associated with that! According to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the average hospital admission for stroke patients, like Mike, is 8.4 days at $19,500 per day. Additional costs will include airlift, ER visit and recovery. You and I know that Mike and Gail will soon be inundated with charges that will quickly surpass $250,000.
Funds donated by you and others will help to alleviate the monetary stresses including, medical bills, transportation, missed work, child care, groceries and household bills. On behalf of our friends, Mike, Gail and their children, I am knocking on your generous heart to support them financially in Mike's journey to recovery. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Please share this post to spread the love and hope for this family.
