so dad has been in the hospital since Tuesday, and it doesn’t look like he will be getting out until about Sunday. He came in because he wasn’t able to breathe when he walked around, and he was having chest pains. It turned out to be that he has pneumonia in both lungs, sepsis, fluid in the lungs, and copd/emphysema, and lately his blood pressure has been kind of high. They drained one of his lungs partially this morning and they got about a liter and a half of fluid out that they have taken down for the pathology people to check. The doctor came in to talk about dad’s issues, and he isn’t sure where the fluid in his lungs is coming from. He did bring up that there is a possibility that the fluid in his lungs may be caused by cancer. Of course we won’t know until we get results from pathology, but that’s what the doctor said. We should know something by later today or tomorrow, but at this point it’s a waiting game to see what that fluid was, and where it came from.

 As everyone who knows our dad and knows him well he isnt one to ask for help, hes always been the one there helping. However, with him having to be in the hospital and unsure of a diagnosis at this point, he obviously wont be at work which means no money coming in. He has a few ways that he will eventually be having some income coming in, it just wont be enough. Also, we all know how insurance is these days. His deductible is $5000 and out of pocket is $6500.  That is what he will have to pay before his insurance will pick up any of these bills and just from tuesday to wednesday we were told that his bill was already $26,000. Thats insane.  Any amount helps, and if you cant donate just say a prayer! At this point in time he is at Centerpoint Medical center in Independence missouri,
