If you've ever been fortunate to spend any time with Mike "Des" Desparrois then you have experienced his contagious, happy personality. His love for his wife, Pam, and their daughters, Avery Kate (UT student) and Delaney (high school senior), is well known by all. He laughs hard, loves fiercely, and will take you for all you've got at the poker table if you'll let him!

At this time, Mike's vivacious spirit is wrapped up in facing a huge battle. On February 9, 2024, Mike was diagnosed with Neuro Endocrine, high grade cancer. After only a couple of weeks of not feeling well, it was a shock to hear the big bad C word. This is an aggressive form of cancer and it is taking a lot out of Mike and his family.

On February 27, Mike was transferred to Baylor St. Lukes in Houston. Pam, Avery Kate, and Delaney have traveled to be by his side. Without family housing available, the "Des Prayer Warriors" have started this Go Fund Me account to allow the family to concentrate on what is important right now rather than worrying about the financial aspect of this situation.
