Hello, my name is Matt. I’m one of my dad’s sons alongside my brother Mikey. My dad, Mike DeMore who I’m making this for, was diagnosed with stage 4 tongue cancer and miraculously beat it with only a small percentage of people with that type of cancer surviving. Today, he is nearly 14 years in remission. Unfortunately, there are complications with his jaw that the radiation caused, and unfortunately, it's been a constant struggle with pain and infection. On October 22nd, we were informed that he needs a very lengthy and intense surgery done. He will be getting his bottom jaw completely removed, and the doctor will be forming a new jaw from bone from elsewhere. This surgery will take nearly 12 hours with my dad being under for all of it. As you can probably imagine, the bills from the surgery and from past cancer treatments for both my stepmom and dad are going to be expensive. I'm making this in hopes of being able to help my stepmom Maria and dad with the outrageous hospital bills and household bills during this tough time for us.
