Mike Davies to battle late stage Cancer.

To the Spec Racer Community and beyond,

Mike Davies has recently learned he has Throat Cancer. All of you who know Mike probably understand the great Racer and Champion that he is. Some of you probably understand his love of the sport and his love for the SRF class and community. Mike works tirelessly for SCCA Enterprises to assure all of us have the very best class with incredible equality and reliability. I can promise you that Mike does not do this for the money (quite frankly he can make more money at Starbucks), he does this simply for the love of the class and the love of the sport. I have personally known Mike since the late 1980' s when I drove in my first SCCA Runoffs in Sport Renault (now SRF3). Mike won that Championship, BTW! Mike has helped this class and this sport ever since and now I ask you all to please join together and help Mike in the tremendous battle he is about to endure. The treatment options so far are extremely aggressive and have horrible side effects, including a high probability of developing Leukemia within a 5-year period, Liver failure, loss of teeth, hair, etc just to name a few! The financial burden will also be a tremendous challenge but this is something I believe Mike should not need to worry about if we all join together and solve this very simple issue. He has enough to worry about so please help all you can! There are roughly 1000 SRF cars in existence and if everyone who has ever driven one of these machines just donates 100 dollars we will hit our goal and give mike one less thing to have to stress over! It is time to give back for all the efforts Mike has given us. Myself, The Donovans and Motion Dynamics are starting this off with 500.00 each. Donate as much as you want or as much as you can. Even 10 dollars will help so please do not skip over this. We need everyone to share this on Facebook and beyond. Do not let Mike lose his house or anything else over something we can easily help him with! Let's blow through this goal and let Mike know how much we all care about him and need him.
