To those of you who know my twin brother, Mike, and his family, you know they are a tight, proud and faithful family who would be very resistant to my idea here of trying to help. So I've taken it upon myself to do it anyway.
Several weeks ago, Mike underwent hip replacement surgery for a bum hip that he has suffered with for many years. During this time, he had to close his restaurant, Press On Sandwich Crafters, to recover. Although difficult to make ends meet during this time, his family endured and looked forward to returning to business full time as soon as humanly possible. They are so fortunate to have great friends and customers who were willing to roll with this inconvenience. After a short time back to work, he was cleared by the doctor to return to regular activity.
The day after he was cleared, he took a step down and suffered a major fracture to his femur, requiring emergency surgery and another replacement hip. This will set him back months in his recovery and require closing his restaurant again. Needless to say, for a family of 8 with one income source, this has and will continue to cause substantial financial stress to the family as they just returned from "the first round".
Many have asked how they can help so I decided to create this campaign to allow those who want to help do so. Thank you in advance to all of those who can help. No amount is too small and would be greatly appreciated.
