Supporting Mike Danielson’s Healing Protocol
Hoping to raise $85,000
Dear friends and family,
I reach to you today on behalf of my life partner of 12 years and, for many of you, your dear friend, Mike Danielson.
For the past five years, Mike has been experiencing a gradually increasing tremor, mostly in his right arm - a symptom related or Commonly associated with Parkinson’s Disease
Mike is a private person. It’s taken great courage to reveal his challenge to you, but we need help. It’s our hope that in coming forward to ask for financial support for Mike’s healing process, that his journey might also become a source of inspiration to others along the way.
The History
About five years ago, Mike began noticing a slight tremor in his right hand. After the tremor persisted for a few weeks, we started looking for help to determine the cause.
Our financial circumstances severely limited our options. Eventually, we found a referral to a conventional neurologist through a free clinic in San Francisco. After a 15-minute physical examination, without asking any questions about Mike’s past, medical or work/life history, the neurologist gave his opinion that Mike had early onset Parkinson’s disease. This was quite a shock and a blow for us to hear.
Mike was only offered a prescription of the drug Levodopa and sent on his way.
Mike and I wanted to learn more about Levodopa, before taking it without question, so we did some research. We were alarmed by the list of potential side effects it could produce, including the predominant side effect of dyskinesia. We read many stories of people’s experience with the drug, reporting that after a short period of feeling better, they not only had a full return of all previous symptoms, but because of the dyskinesia, their symptoms became even worse than before taking the drug.
The risks seemed to really outweigh the benefit, so we began to research alternatives.
Eventually, we found a functional neurologist with a holistic approach. He arranged for Mike to have his blood tested. The test results showed high levels of manganese, which is an alloy in steel.
Mike’s entire career has been as a metal worker. His main working material has always been steel.
This is when we learned about Manganism and how Manganism mimics Parkinson’s disease. It can manifest in the same way, but it’s caused by metal toxicity deposits in the brain and body.
Call it Heavy Metal
For thirty years, Mike has worked with toxic metals, solvents and chemicals.
At twenty years old, Mike began his career alongside his father at the shipyard in Anacortes, Washington. From there he held jobs at architectural metal companies until eventually, he formed his own business of architectural metal fabrication and custom design work.
While the shipyard cultivated Mike’s talents into an amazing career as it stands today, it is also the most likely culprit of Mike’s Parkinsonian symptoms.
During the time that Mike worked at the shipyards, workers received little to no warning about the potential hazards of exposure to toxic metals and fumes. Mike would spend much of his time welding inside of the hull of a ship without a respirator and proper ventilation, or he’d be outside sanding and grinding the metals. He regularly inhaled the dust and smoke containing manganese and other heavy metals.
Figuring it Out
We were able to see the functional neurologist for a short time in 2015, but finances prevented us from continuing. We had no choice but to take the initiative to figure things out on our own.
We dove fully into researching and educating ourselves. During that time we learned how certain nutrient rich foods could create healing. We started Mike on a regimen of nutrient dense foods and supplementation (Inspired by Terry Wahls M.D.), along with making sure that he engaged in all of the activities to support a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
We truly believe that our holistic lifestyle efforts have had a tremendous impact in keeping the progression of his symptoms at bay. Yet, we were lacking the resources to help Mike towards deeper healing . We became exhausted, and in turn, it became increasingly difficult to stay steady with his routines. Over time, Mike’s symptoms began to slowly progress.
A couple of months ago, in April 2020, a slight tremor appeared in Mike’s left arm. This was scary. We knew this could no longer be ignored.
By this time, even though both of our incomes were affected by the world pandemic/SIP, we knew we had to make it a priority to find help. After more searching, we met an amazing chiropractor who addresses physical, emotional, and mental wellness, and also a new functional medical doctor who specializes in neurodegeneration and Parkinson’s Disease. Both, understanding our circumstance, have been generously willing to give us discounted rates for their services.
The Healing
After the initial appointment with the new functional medical doctor, she requested a tissue scan which came back revealing high levels of mercury, aluminium, lead, and cadmium in addition to the metals in Mike’s blood.
The doctor’s expert opinion is that it is metal toxicity causing Mike’s symptoms. Therefore, her diagnosis is Environmental Parkinson’s Disease. She believes that because of Mike’s age and his stage of progression, it is possible that his symptoms can be reversed with the proper detoxification. This will require him to be able to continue with the IV therapies he’s begun.
Mike was prescribed the PK Intravenous (IV) protocol, the main ingredient being Phosphatidylcholine (PC) along with the Myer’s Cocktail; one of the most groundbreaking therapies available for the detoxification of the body, including detoxification from heavy metals. He’s had a few sessions already and the results are promising. If, in the end, the PK protocol doesn’t provide the results we hope for, the Marty Hinz IV protocol would be next. It’s an amino acid therapy that should actually improve Mike’s symptoms once he is detoxified from the PK protocol.
It’s Gonna Take Money
This is where we need your help. The treatments are very costly. Even if our works weren’t severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, we still wouldn’t have the financial resources to cover the majority of his treatment.
At the point of this writing, Mike has had six IV treatments along with the supplements and dietary protocols. We’ve already exhausted our personal resources. We won’t be able to continue with his IV treatments without financial help, and the additional suggested healing protocols will not happen without the financial generosity of others.

Don’t You Guys Have Insurance?
We get asked this a lot. We signed up with Kaiser Permanente for Insurance in 2017 for $400 per month. We met a lot of dead ends because of the excruciatingly high deductible, and a lack of in-network support options. We couldn’t even get Mike’s supplements covered. Everything was out of pocket, the blood work and even the office visit. It didn’t help us AT ALL, so we cancelled it.
How is Mike right now?
Mike is very committed to his healing process. He stays true to a healing diet plan, supplementation, and daily exercise.
His symptoms include bouts of anxiety because of the neurotoxins in the brain. He experiences a fairly steady tremor, along with some muscle weakness and rigidity in his right arm. He has tightness in the throat, neck and shoulders and he battles fatigue quite a lot of the time.
Still, those of you who know Mike well enough understand that he not only loves his work, he IS his work. Metalwork, art and design is his life. He moves a little slower today, though he is still producing the same amazing quality of work as he always has. We really don’t want that to stop, so we’re asking for your help to allow him to continue.
