Help Mike come home and our family keep hope
Donation protected
I think most of you know I am here for Mike, my husband of almost 14 years and my partner in crime for 24 years. He is also the most amazing father to our two kids, Malcolm and Rosemary.
First, I want to take a second to express the immense gratitude I have for all of the outpouring of love we have already received. It has been truly amazing.
On July 22nd, Mike was rushed into emergency neurosurgery after he bled into a brain tumor we did not know he had. He then spent 3 weeks intubated on a ventilator in the ICU. He finally extubated successfully. Since then, progress has been steady but slow.
We have a long road ahead of us. I am building a room for Mike in our garage, but it will take time and money. Mike is in rehab now but will need to stay in a nursing home until I can build his room. Some of that stay will likely not be covered by insurance.
Beyond that, Mike will still need radiation and chemo. Transportation to his radiation appointments will not be covered by insurance.
Anyone who knows me and my family knows that we operate best as a 4 pack... 5 if you count our dog, Telly. We are fighting hard to get back to that.
It is hard for me to ask for more love, support, and money than has been given, but this has all been the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Please don't feel pressure, but if you are able, please consider donating to help my family keep fighting and rebuilding. If all you have are good thoughts and prayers, we will take all of those too. Thank you all for giving us a chance. We are still leaning into hope and working towards our happy ending.
