Just turning the corner into 2021, amidst all the extreme hardship, adversity and tremendous resilience, Mike Clark - the man many of us call a dear friend has suffered a fire at his home in Turner Valley. This tragedy produced extensive damage to his house as well as claimed a beloved family pet (cat, Isis). Among the COVID-19 pandemic Mike has been hopeful and hanging on to keep the doors open at Mikey's on 12th - the iconic music venue that so dear to so many. At one point or another, all of us have been influenced by Mike Clark and/or his music venue that has kept the music alive in Calgary for a number of years. Mikeys on 12th is well known for treating everyone like family, giving blooming artists a chance to showcase their music and seasoned performers to express their art. 

         For the countless times we've all found happiness, friendship and solstice at Mikey's on 12th/ Mikey's juke joint -  now is our time to rally together and be there for the man that was there for us, there for the music, and there for his patrons/staff that he treats like his family. Fire damages Turner Valley home
