Mike Bowersock a wonderful friend and a excellent golf instructor passed away peacefully at home with close friends by his side on March 15, 2017.  

Mike owned and operated Mike Bowersock Golf Ranch which was previously known as Precision Driving Range.  Shortly after Mike purchased the property, there was a major flood in the area which made access to the facility.  A few months later the city basically closed the road to repair and install drainage structures to prevent future flooding in that area which took about of year to complete.  Mike never gave up and he put everything he made back into his business.

Teaching golf was Mike's passion, but he also enjoyed and valued the relationships developed with all those who came to him for golf lessons.  Mike had the ability to diagnose the culprit of a frustrated golfer's swing and communicate one maybe two corrections for golfer to focus.  He worked with each person's natural ability versus a cookie cutter approach of one swing for everybody.  

Mike was diagnosed with cancer  of the prostate in March 2016.  The cancer metastasized to the bone and lung.  He put up a galliant fight faithfully trying every option to defeat the disease.  Around Friday, March the 3rd, Mike was told by his physician that he had three to six month to live.  He waited until Monday to share the news with his closest friends.  On Saturday of the same week, Mike asked that an ambulance be called to take him to the hospital.  On Monday, Hospice services were being arranged and when asked if he had any concerns Mike's response was, "I don't want to owe anyone money".  Tuesday, he was dismissed from the hospital and died the next day.

Mike did not have any death benefits or monies set aside as he did not realize how quickly he would be leaving. Therefore, this account has been set-up for those who may wish to contribute to the fund instead of sending flowers or other honorariums.
