I'm setting up this account to help my brother with medical and living expenses while he is off work and undergoing lung cancer treatment. Unfortunately, Mike didn't opt-in to a disability plan through his employer. Therefore, he has no income during his time off and now has to pay in to keep medical benefits alive. The community outreach and support to date has been so amazing in helping him in this fight with prayers, good thoughts and financial relief.

Mike is a Program Manager for Geo Rentry Services and also the head football coach at Montoursville High school; he's looking forward to getting back to both roles soon. Most importantly he is the father to six kids; Hannah (25), Kiara (20), Leila (18), Keagan (11), Cora (9) and Declan (7) and he lives with his Fiance, Marisa, who has two children Everett (6) and Brady (4) whom he considers his own children.

The beginning of the Medical Nightmare: In June and July, Mike endured two different hospital stays due to his lungs filling up with fluid and difficulty breathing. The second hospital stay, he underwent a procedure to prevent fluid build up in his lungs. He underwent numerous scans and tests and had lymph nodes removed for testing and the fluid was sent for biopsy. The results took some time and finally came back, they gave him the news noone wants to hear, the mass is lung cancer. There is a second mass near his heart, they are hoping the chemo attacks as well. He's endured a couple of vertebrae fractures as a result of the cancer. Mike will get round 3 of his chemo treatments on 9/28 and then will have a PET scan scheduled to see if the treatments are doing their job. If they are working, Marisa will get him into Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to see what other options exist to help Mike beat cancer.
