Mike “Big Mike” Melhorn

I am Elena Hepler and Mike was part of my family for as long as I can remember. He was friends with my brother Phil for over 40 years.

I share this Go Fund Me page with the blessing and support of Eric, Mike's son, and Kim, Mike's sister. Any additional funds raised will be used by the family at their discretion for expenses.

As most know by now, we lost a great man in the early hours of August 19, 2023. I created this page as a way to offer monetary support to his family, in an effort to ease those burdens from their hands. Which as of right now will be cremation in the hopes of having a get together in Mike’s honor at the Linglestown American Legion on a date to be announced.

Mike did not have much, but made sure his friends had even more, even if that meant it was one of his great big smiles or one of his great big bear hugs. For some, it was long rides ending up hours from home and not even realizing it. (Phil and Mike were famous for this). Calls or text message just to make sure you were ok or to offer advice or even a joke.

Mike's infectious laugh and pure care for others, touched the hearts of everyone that knew him. His loss is felt by each that knew him.
