Family, Friends and Basketball Community,

The inaugural Mike Babul Memorial Classic will take place on November 15 & 16, 2025 at Fieldhouse Mansfield (31 Oxford Road Mansfield, MA). The event is sold out and will feature 52 youth basketball teams (boys and girls, grades 5 thru 8). The weekend festivities will tip-off on the evening of Friday, November 14th from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM with a basketball court dedication ceremony (Mike Babul Courts) and an open gym/free play session for kids and families in attendance.

The Mike Babul Memorial Classic, is a youth 5v5 basketball tournament created to honor the life and legacy of Mike Babul—a beloved coach, mentor, and friend to the game. This event celebrates Mike’s passion for basketball and his dedication to developing young athletes both on and off the court.

I am raising money in an effort to provide EVERY participating athlete and coach with a commemorative Mike Babul Memorial Classic t-shirt. I ordered 750 t-shirts to cover the field. My fundraising goal is $8000 to absorb the expense and achieve my goal.

Mike Babul loved participating in basketball tournaments all over the country. During his 47 year life, Mike collected a t-shirt from every tournament, camp and clinic he participated in as an athlete and/or coach during his basketball journey. A few of the t-shirts were on display at his memorial service earlier this year. The t-shirts he left behind tell a story of Mike's life and serve as an everyday reminder to me of all of the great times we shared together in basketball gyms all over the country. My goal is for every coach and player participating in the event this weekend to receive a Mike Babul Memorial Classic T-Shirt they can wear with pride as they embark on their own special journey with the game of basketball.
