Mike and Michelle Fox Tornado Rebuilding Fund
Donation protected
Tuesday evening April 5, 2022, at 6:30 pm a tornado touched down in the Park Place Plan in Ellabell GA. Within minutes the storm completely destroyed several houses including the home of our brother Mike Fox and his family.
Mike and Michelle were in their home when the tornado hit, sheltering in the hallway. By the Grace of God, Michelle's vigilant tornado preparedness (she was raised in Kansas), and a couple of sturdy motorcycle helmets, both survived the storm suffering only minor cuts and bruises. Tragically, their house was completely leveled, leaving only the concrete pad, Mike's car was destroyed, and they lost the vast majority of their personal belongings.
Thankfully the family does have insurance that will cover a portion of the costs to rebuild their home, however, Mike is left without transportation to work and the family is left finding and financing temporary housing. It will possibly take years to rebuild their home. They also need to replace appliances and furnishings, all their clothing, and the many personal items that were lost, including Mike's smoker, the centerpiece of "Mikeville".
Many sentimental items were also lost that can never be replaced.
Mike, Michelle, and Marina appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love and support they have received. We are now asking our family, friends, co-workers, and community for their support for our brother's family. Please send up prayers of gratitude that their lives were spared and if you are so moved, please donate, share this fundraiser, or support them in any way you feel appropriate.
We are grateful for your love and support,
Kelly and Judy (Mike's sisters)
