Mikey was diagnosed in April 2025 with stage 4 metastatic bowel cancer. It has rapidly spread to his lungs and liver.

As of July, only 3 months after the diagnosis, he has been put on hospice. His wife Lexie is a nurse and has to give him 24/7 care, so she has not been able to work. She has exhausted all her vacation time and is now on no pay, which has caused a financial strain.
