I don't even know where to begin….. I wish this was a long dream and now I can wake up. But here we are….
Thank you for all that have been praying, we appreciate it.
The last 2 months have been some of the most horrible times I've ever experienced. In November my Dad and Mom got sick. They continued to get worse and worse. Finally, at the end of November, they were so sick that they ended up going to the emergency room. The doctors, in the ER, said they had a severe case of Covid pneumonia. The last 2 months have been some of the worst times in mine and my family's life. My Dad and Mom were admitted to the hospital a little over 6 weeks ago. My Dad was released a few days after being admitted and has been healing since. My Mom has been in the hospital for 6 weeks now on oxygen. My Mom has been trying so hard to hang on. Some days she has been able to sit up, or put her feet over the side of the bed but progress has been up and down. Over the last few weeks we thought she was heading in a healing direction but the last few days have been horrible. She was taken yesterday to the ER from the facility she was in for Xrays of her chest again. There is scarring on the lungs, still pneumonia in both lungs and she is having a worse time trying to breathe. Doctor said he is still positive she can go back in a healing direction but at this point we are starting over in the healing process. Our hearts hurt.
My Dad has been by her side, literally, throughout this whole process. My Dad is so strong but this has broken his heart. Watching the person you have spent almost your whole life with suffering this bad, is without words. They have been together for 45 yrs, they were teenagers when they met. Watching my Dad care for my Mom is true love. Watching my Mom look into my Dad's eyes for hope is one of the most difficult and amazing things to see.
Watching my Mom struggle to breathe and my Dad struggling in pain and hurt, is something I wish I could forget. Elizabeth (my sister) and I have been playing worship music in her ear to find encouragement and peace in Jesus to ease anxiety in our mom. We have been saying prayers over both of our parents to ask Jesus to let them both know they are not alone. We are trusting in Jesus that He has a plan and thanking Jesus each day for what He has and is doing for us. Each day has been a new experience that we are trying to stay positive in but some days the reality of what is going on around us pulls us in different directions. Having faith is not always easy but it's the only way to keep moving forward. I ask that you continue to lift our family up in prayer.
My Dad has some health issues now, due to covid. He is working with Cardio, Pulmonary, and Primary Care Doctors to help with these issues. My Dad has not been able to work for 2 months. His doctors will not let him go back to work because of the health issues covid has caused. We are at a point where He needs help with paying bills, gas, food, medical, and everyday life. Now for any of you that know my dad he is not one to ask for help, let alone money… but here we are. We are at this point. Anything you can do to help my parents, in this overwhelming situation, is greatly appreciated. My parents and family are trying so hard to hang on to Jesus for hope.
Thank you! ❤
