Mike (Aka Jock) Harte

Maeve O Healy- Harte & Mike (aka Jock) Harte are well known to all of you, especially those of you on the Irish hairdressing community. They have spent their entire lives helping people in the industry through their involvement in Team Ireland, OMC, Intercoiffure, Irish Hairdresser Magazine and much more.

Mike recently received the devastating diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease. As this is life-altering, severely progressive disease, time is of the essence. A few people have suggested to me that we come together as a family of 'Hairdressing friends' to raise some funds to make this journey easier for them both, especially during this time when Mike is still relatively mobile. As a couple they have given so much to our industry. I feel very strongly that we should help them and encourage them as best we can.

Because of all they have given to our industry, wouldn't it be nice to give something back, especially when it could make such a difference for them? None of us know when something very difficult like this will befall us, and as they say "What goes around, comes around" so lets do something special for them!

Please give as generously as you can, no matter how small. I am certain that it will lift their spirits greatly at this difficult time. Thank you!
